Live slideshow

A live wedding slideshow of every photo your guests post

Put your gallery on the projector or a TV at the reception and the room watches its own photos arrive, moments after they are taken, each with its caption and its guest’s name, and the code for anyone who has not joined in yet.

How it works

The reception’s own photo wall

Nothing to curate on the night and nothing to install. It runs from the same gallery your guests post to.

  1. Open it on the venue’s screen

From your dashboard, open the slideshow on a laptop plugged into the projector or the TV at the reception. It fills the screen, hides the mouse and runs on its own.

  2. New photos go up next

A photo posted a moment ago is shown next, once, ahead of everything else. Between arrivals the show works through the day from the first photo on, so nobody’s is skipped.

  3. The room joins in

Every photo carries its caption, its guest’s name and table and the reactions it is getting, and the code to add yours stays on screen all evening.

You decide

In control of what goes on the screen

A room full of phones is a room full of photographs you have not seen yet. These keep the screen to the ones you want.

Only what you approve

If you approve photos first, only approved ones reach the screen, and a photo you approve later arrives as a new one.

Your own round

Mark photos with Show on the projector and the show cycles through just those, while new arrivals still go up once.

Kept for the morning

If the gallery is revealed in the morning, the screen counts the photos as they arrive and tells the room when everybody sees them.

On the day

Setting up the slideshow at your venue

Ten minutes with the venue’s coordinator, the week before.

  1. Ask what the screen connects to

Most venue projectors and TVs take a laptop by HDMI. Ask which cable, and whether there is one there.

  2. Check the connection

The laptop needs the internet all evening: the venue’s Wi-Fi, or a phone’s hotspot if the signal is poor.

  3. Try it at home first

Open the slideshow from your dashboard a week ahead, post a few photos from your own phones and watch them arrive.

  4. Put the code on every table

The screen shows people what is happening; a table card in front of them is what makes them join in. Table cards.

  5. Then leave it alone

It changes photo every few seconds, puts new ones up first and loops through the rest. Nobody needs to stand by it.

FAQ

Slideshow questions

What do we need for a live wedding slideshow?

A laptop, the screen at your venue, an internet connection for the laptop, and your Amoret. Open the slideshow from your dashboard and leave it running; it changes photo every few seconds by itself.

Can we choose which photos appear?

Yes. Approve photos first and only the ones you approve go up. Mark particular ones with Show on the projector and the show cycles through those. Anything you take down leaves the screen too.

Do videos play on the slideshow?

Yes. On Classic, where guests can leave short video messages, they play on the screen in their turn, silently and on a loop.

Do guests need anything to take part?

Only their phone. The code is on screen beside the photos, and scanning it opens the gallery to post to, with no app and no account.

Is the slideshow an app to download?

No. It runs in the laptop’s browser: open it and it plays. Tap to move on to the next photo; press and hold to pause.

Does the slideshow cost extra?

No. It is part of your Amoret, with nothing more to buy or install.

Live on the big screen, within moments.

Make your Amoret in about five minutes, and the slideshow is ready the moment your guests start posting.
